On Friday 7th June, Michael’s friends from his time playing Basketball for both his school
and Ulster arranged a Basketball scrimmage to raise money as part of the 33 ’til Infinity
campaign in St. Malachy’s College, Belfast.
Michael’s friends; Marc Mulholland, Niall Mellan and Michael White took the lead in organising
the event where a number of Michael’s friends gathered to remember him in this a special way.
Many of these men graced the basketball court during their time at St. Malachy’s under the
watchful and expert eye of former Head of PE, Paul McCrory. Michael was a talented player
himself and although the lads didn’t quite reach the lofty heights of their Malachian days,
it was all for the continued effort of remembering Michael and raising money for local mental
There was just under £500 raised in total at the event – all of which will be going directly the Community Search and Rescue, Inspire and TAMHI as part of the campaign to raise £33,000
in total to mark every year Cull spent with us.
A great effort all round from the guys who organised the event and from those who took part. Hopefully, it is not the last one and will be the first of many yet to come.
